Here are some memories from Joe Coyle, the son of Dan Coyle who co-owned the boat in partnership with Jim Woods from 1955-1960.

"[GloryBe] was kept at the Pioneer Boatyard just upstream of the West Seattle Bridge on the Duwamish River. The first thing they did to her was repower her with a Redwing 4 cylinder gasoline engine. I believe it was 34 hp. Originally, there was no companionway leading directly forward from the wheelhouse into the main salon. Rather, you entered the cabin on the starboard side and had to take a hard left to get into the wheelhouse. If you continued straight ahead, you were in the galley below and to the right of thwheelhouse. Dad opened up the companionway forward from the wheelhouse."
